From 4 to 8 March 2024, the University of Economics in Bratislava organised the 16th International Week, welcoming foreign lecturers representing universities from France, Belgium, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Poland and Romania. The main goal of this year's edition of the International Week was to promote the internationalisation of both teachers and students at home.
This type of international event has been organised by the EUBA since 2015. The aim of the sixteenth edition was to offer students of accredited full-time study programmes in English the opportunity to participate in lectures by lecturers representing Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Budapest Business University, Berlin School of Economics and Law, University of Economics in Prague, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, ESCE International Business School in Paris, IÉSEG School of Management in Lille, Cracow University of Economics, Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt and Université catholique de Louvain.
The main aim of this year's edition of the international week was to support the internationalization of participating students and teachers.
The event was opened by Boris Mattoš, Vice-Rector for international relations at the EUBA who emphasized that currently the EUBA holds the first places in the provision of comprehensive and comprehensive education in economic and management study programs at all levels of study. The EUBA has been offering fully accredited full-time study programs in English for a long time.
During the 16th International Week, lectures were given at the Faculty of Business Management - in subjects such as Economics and Business Management, or General Management. At the Faculty of Business, foreign teachers offered presentations in the field of Tourism Management and Marketing and Business Management, at the Faculty of National Economy in the field of Finance, Banking And Insurance, at the Faculty of International Relations in the programme of Economic Diplomacy and at the Faculty of Economic Informatics in the subject of Actuarial Science and Information Management.
A participant from the Technical University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt, Germany, evaluated the event: „Thank you for allowing me to participate in this international week, your students are very open and communicative“. Another participant from the University of Economics in Prague said that it was an honour for him to teach at a renowned higher education institution such as the University of Economics in Bratislava.
In addition to the possibility of internationalisation of the represented institutions, the event also provides a great opportunity for establishing new links not only in the field of education, but also in research and project activities.
